Also known as British Gas, British Pipe Parallel or Parallel Fastening thread.
The following symbols are commonly used for this thread type;
BSP, BSPP, BSSPI, BSPF, BSPG, PS, R, G.
The BSP thread has a 55° Whitworth Thread Form. The Whitworth
thread is accepted internationally (outside of the US) as a standard thread for jointing low carbon steel
pipes.
